This is kellyn from 2i2 and the chemeh(blind) chairman of ELDDS (:
Finally posting for this blog, since its been dead for almost half a year.

Updates:
We will be having our own tee-shirt and it is done by no other than our artist MELISSA!
The date due for the design is on Wednesday, 10th August so get started!
BTW; if you have any suggestions for melissa, you can find her in 2i3 classroom 2nd story second furthest from the boys' toilet.

Next, the notice board in the canteen is so dull because no one updated it, so the Sec.1's will be in charge of this special project to wipe out the old and add in colours to the noticeboard!~~~

Also, SESSION SCHELDULE:
Please be informed that ELDDS is on every WEDNESDAY. So don't forget to come~ We will send relay messages but please be pro-active and punctual yourself! Also inform us if you cannot come for some reasons by smsing us.

Our two Alumni - Wei Qiang and Benson are the two top O-level students in the school and the only 6-pointers. Congratulations to them!

There will be debate training this Wednesday from 3.30pm-5.30pm in the old 2I1 classroom. Debate audition will be conducted on thurs for the student population and for our own members as well. That's all and goodbye.

Regarding the T-Shirt

I'm very sorry for this, but the T-shirt cannot be worn to school because it doesn't bear the school name and CCA name, and is hence not an official shirt.

Dyan and I are looking into printing the school name and CCA name onto the shirt.

T-Shirt and 10th Anniversary

Dear ELDDS Members

Dyan has won the tagboard T-shirt vote so we'll be going with his design for the tee!

And, the new is, we won't be performing for 10th Anniversary. This is because it is both technically difficult and insulting to the play and actors to perform during a dinner (where nobody will be paying attention to us) and on a stage that cannot support our tech-heavy production..

But never fear! Dyan and I are thinking of black-box at the end of the year. Let us remain hopeful!

Dear one-and-all,

After our long break, we're finally coming back for practices!

For school days, Drama practices will now be on both Tuesday (330pm to 6pm) and Wednesday (3pm to 6pm). General Debate (everyone's down for this) practices will now be on Friday, from 3pm to 5pm.

Also, I'm thinking of having our very first ELDDS Exco meeting this week, I'll let everyone know when I've decided.

Salary Caps?

On 6th Feb, we went for a debate against Compassvale Sec for the first round of Julia Gabriels, THBT Professional Sports Players should have Salary Caps. We went, saw, conquered.

Our speakers this week were Brendan, Jeslyn and Wei Qiang. Although all three performed very well, Jeslyn was the one to clinch the Best Speaker title!

Debate team, we're all very proud of you. You have definitely proven that Fuhua debaters are not as terrible as the school might think. It was immensely touching to see you guys speak so confidently! We're all very sure that with your zest for debate and great coaching, Fuhua will make a name for itself one more time in the debate circle! Go faster, higher, further, not for the prize but for the passion for debate!

Take the stage for ELDDS; it's about time we had it.

Fight for the Oppressed

Dear ELDDS,

Even though things might be just going plain terrible now, remember that in such times when all that we stand for is tested, the one thing that we will always have is each other. Stay strong in each other and support one another through these trying times. Do well for SYF Drama and JG, and we'll liberate ourselves from the oppression. We've only got one chance to win back some respect for ourselves, so let's go all out for it.

Our Training Schedule for Term One

Dear ELDDS members,

Our training sessions have been finalised! Please adhere to them strictly so that we will be able to do well this year.

Drama training falls on every Wednesday, 3PM to 6PM. Meet at 2.45PM at 2I1 classroom to move the props so that we can begin on time.

Debate trainings fall on Monday (4.30PM to 6.30PM), Friday (3PM to 5PM) and Saturday (8.30AM to 11.30AM).

Thank you for noting all this down. Once again, please remember that all members (except Dyan, Jian Yang, Wei Qiang and Rauf) have to be down for ALL practices! Thank you!
